The pipe thread lathe is primarily designed for machining both internal and external threads on pipes.  Additionally, it can be utilized as an ordinary lathe, enabling the processing of external circles, internal holes, and end faces for shaft - type and disc - type workpieces.  Equipped with a taper device, this lathe is capable of machining tapered workpieces.
This machine finds extensive application in the oil industry for the processing and repair of components such as drill pipes, connectors, and casings.  Moreover, it is also used in industries like chemical engineering, coal, and geology for the thread machining of various pipelines and drill pipes.
